I don't mind you featuring the video. And you're welcome about the recent L'Kings history! :)Heinitz_Productionshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11610138356376058442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18316425.post-61071234317423426252010-09-10T22:56:40.092-07:002010-09-10T22:56:40.092-07:00I'm still skeptical on Nick's speed, mostl...I'm still skeptical on Nick's speed, mostly because stolen base numbers can be indicative of superior polish against unpolished competition. At the very least it looks like Franklin is a savvy baserunner, but after all the M's boneheaded mistakes this year, that's not really a diss as much as a little different skill the M's really need.

@Heinitz-Productions I'm going to go find that YouTube clip of Franklin's homer and add it to this post, if that is fine. Thanks for some of the recent Clinton history too!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17189704999047359461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18316425.post-23107405683805660822010-09-08T08:06:44.583-07:002010-09-08T08:06:44.583-07:00About Clinton's franchise record...current Phi...About Clinton's franchise record...current Philadelphia Phillies outfielder John Mayberry Jr., finished with 21 homers in 2006, a number equaled the next two seasons by two former LumberKings currently playing at the Double-A level, Mauro Gomez in 2007 and Jonathan Greene in 2008. They were all 1 away from tying it. I am from Clinton, Iowa...born & raised here & I attend many LumberKings game. I attended every home game this season. I video record all throughout the game, therefore...I have many videos of Nick Franklin. I went on the road with the Kings to their last series with the Burlington Bees in hopes to catch Nick's record breaking home run & he did it, so that video as well as hundreds of other Franklin/LumberKings videos are on YouTube. I read Churchill Religiously, but I think even with his excitement about Franklin, even HE might be underestimating him a little. I used to envision him as a bit of a J.J. Hardy kind of player without the power. Good glove, decent runner, gap power, solid eye with good contact skills. Makes for a well above average player. After seeing his age 19 season where he demonstrates well above average power with good speed, I can see him becoming a 20, maybe 20+ homer threat and base stealing accompanying the rest of the package. That's a legit allstar caliber player at shortstop. Pair him with my boy Dustin Ackley and...
